Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly: email address, display name, and learning progress data. We also collect usage analytics through privacy-friendly tools (Plausible Analytics) that do not use cookies or track individual users.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to: provide and maintain the Service, track your learning progress, personalize your experience, communicate service updates, and improve the platform.

3. Data Storage

Your data is stored securely in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore) with encryption at rest and in transit. We use Firebase Authentication for secure account management.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with: Firebase (hosting and authentication), Stripe (payment processing), and as required by law.

5. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

You have the right to:

• Access your data — visit profile settings to see what we store.
• Export your data — email privacy@aiwizardry.app and we will return a JSON file containing your full account record (profile, progress, grades, certificates) within 30 days, in line with GDPR Article 20 (right to data portability).
• Correct inaccurate data — update your profile in settings.
• Delete your accountand all associated data via the “Delete account” option. Removal is permanent and cascades to Firestore data and Firebase Authentication.
• Withdraw consent for non-essential email communication via the email-updates toggle in settings.
• Lodge a complaintwith your local data-protection supervisory authority if you believe we've handled your data improperly.

To exercise any right not covered by an in-app option, email privacy@aiwizardry.app and we will respond within 30 days.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data is removed within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain certain records (e.g. payment receipts for tax purposes — none currently, since AI Wizardry is in free public beta). Aggregated, anonymised analytics may be retained indefinitely.

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and preferences only. Our analytics tool (Plausible) is cookie-free and GDPR-compliant by design. You can manage cookie preferences through the consent banner.

8. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. EU users must be at least 16 (or the digital-consent age set by their member state) to create an account.
